- In order to provide each user with an account that can be logged in to, the user's email address is stored as long as their account exists.
- Photos that a user chooses to share are temporarily stored on our servers in order to deliver them to another user. Once the photo has been delivered, it is deleted from our servers, but may remain on the device of the recipient.
- User-specific data generated during the use of Chiaro may also be stored by our servers, solely for the purpose of providing Chiaro's functionality and content moderation. For instance, each user's account preferences will be stored as long as their account exists.
- Any personal information stored is solely stored for the purpose of providing Chiaro's services and content moderation. Information is never shared with third parties without the user's consent.
- When account deletion is requested, all information relating to that account, including photos and preferences, is fully and permanently deleted from our servers, with the exception of potential evidence of violations of our terms of service
- Content that is under investigation for violating our terms of use will be retained until the investigation is concluded. It may also shared with legal authorities if deemed necessary.
- We may collect anonymous information about the use of the Chiaro app, solely to improve the app and mitigate bugs. The information may never be used for other purposes without the user's consent.
- Sharing inappropriate content will result in a permanent ban from the app's services
- This policy is subject to change. When a change is made, users will be notified via email or via the Chiaro app.
